This was such a marvelous way to start off the New Year right! Good friends and good fun! I really appreciate all the work and time that went into setting this up.
I want to thank everyone who makes this Club possible especially the teachers who spend their time to improve us in to better bridge players , thank you Maureen for your commitment.
i want to point out my admiration on ur work of expanding bridge entertainment to so many people and ur personal work and dedication
I can't tell you what a godsend BIL is. You deserve a special place in Bridge Heaven.

I want to tell you that the sites are marvelous and I am so glad you have gone to the trouble of making them available. It is hard to find information as comprehensive and your information supplements our reading in such important ways. Reading only goes so far and diversity of teachers and presentations are essential to our learning.
Your dedication is admirable.

when i opened this mail last night i almost wanted to cry at the huge amount of wonderful information you have made available to all of us. its difficult to find the words of thanks that i wish to offer you for all of your hard work so that we can learn and improve our bridge game-and what a pleasant and interesting site you have created. its hard for me to know where to start with my limited available time i have for being here.
Just wanted you to know how appreciative I am for your creating such a unbelievable resource for beginning bridgers and for your continuing work and support.
Your BIL will enable me to continue learning.
Being part of a BIL tourney is the least one can do for one of the best endeavors I have seen to promote and develop the fine game of bridge as you people have at BIL

I take advantage of what I can of the lessons given at BIL and I have met some wonderful friends on the BBO as well as the BIL site. I do play regularly and learn something new every day. As one of my friends said to me. You never stop learning when you are playing Bridge. Again I can not thank you enough for starting this wonderful site. It is certainly a wonderful place for beginners and intermediates to play in a safe environment.

In the short length of time that I have utilized BBO, I have met a large number of extremely nice people, who, although their skills vary considerably, are a pleasure to play with. I daily look forward to the opportunity to spend time with these people. Some are now designated as Friends, and I consider them so, in spite of the various skills present. It goes to show that good friends and good times can be more rewarding than just good results, , , , like "winning".
You write very well, and your words are both comforting and encouraging. Let me again express my gratitude.

. I’ve told all my friends and family there is no other vehicle on earth that facilitates the meeting of people from around the globe as BBO. Commentators, mentors, teachers, expert players, volunteers….all fabulous intellects and you sit at the head of that prominent table! Maureen, I have nothing but honor, admiration, and respect for you and your grand accomplishments. I’ve even wondered if you ever get sufficient sleep with all the demands you shoulder. I can only imagine the time and careful thought you have and continue to invest in the BIL to make it an opportunity open to the world and is certainly unprecedented.

Your reviews after the classes ( Bridge 101) were excellent. I have kept them all.
This site is absolutely the greatest . The class (Bridge101)was awesome and so much fun .since becoming involved with BBO and BIL I have met so many wonderful and helpful people.BIL has been a wonderful place for people like me to play and not feel intimidated by expert players. It has opened a whole new world up to me and I am sure to others as well. I feel I have made many more friends through this course and again I can not thank you (TwstofLime) and anyone else who was involved enough for putting the work into it to make it happen. It was very organized, and humorous too- the whole experience was great.
I was almost on the brink of giving up trying to learn to play bridge just before the Bridge 101 came along, but will plug on now thanks to you.
Class yesterday was fantastic. What I though I knew about transfers was just the tip of the iceberg. Everything about the course ( Bridge 101)has been just what I had hoped for. I had been learning to play bridge in a hit and miss way and had missed a lot of the very basic material. Thank you soooooo much for offering this course and coordinating everything.
Just want to let you know how much I have enjoyed and appreciated this class( Bridge 101) . It has been perfect for some of us beginners!!! Just the basics, simple and concise, no confusion!!! Such a great help for us beginners! So thanks thanks thanks!

I know you are volunteers; all earning lots of stars in my opinion; Can't tell you enough how much the BIL has and is helping me. And am continually amazed at all the free manpower that it represents; all for love and encouragement of good bridge
I have just read the latest bulletin from the club and was so impressed with the events you have lined up, felt compelled to write and congratulate you on all your efforts, especially to bring in renowned players who share their wisdom and expertise. along with other fun activities. I am presently in a group class with the hope eventually of becoming 'advanced' down the road -- still a long way to go with all the misteps made but we have a great group of students and we try and practise together at every opportunity. We are grateful and appreciate our Mentor's time, patience, and expertise. frustrating at times!! Many thanks again for all your time and effort brought to making BIL Club the place to be when venturing into the fascinating, exciting bridge world - albeit frustrating at times!!

When I am asked, I explain the benefits of BIL and many have joined and a few have also become life time members. As an active participant, I bring on as many folks as I can. It's a truly wonderful programme you have.
I really enjoyed the quizzes - and my success is due in no small part to Kathy, my BIL Mentor - I cannot speak too highly of her, she has really taught me to focus and plan my play. I am so fortunate to have had her assigned as my Mentor and to that end I must say how grateful I (and countless others) are to you for founding the BIL and putting in so much time and effort. I hope that you realize how much you are appreciated. The BIL is a wonderful thing and one day hopefully I can help with it in some way.

I feel so fortunate that you have paired me with Cornelia in the mentor programme.She is a great teacher, and I feel that I am learning so much with her patient guidance. The mentor programme is really great, and it's wonderful that people like Cornelia are willing to volunteer their valuable time.

It would be very nice to give back to something that has done so much for me. Not only have I gotten back to a game I played fairly well 20+ years ago, I have met some wonderful people and made great friends.
Just wanted to say i think your program is awesome!!!! so many have opportunity to learn the game correctly. if i ever graduate to advanced (need to know some more conventions..... i would be delighted to help beginners. The whole system of BIL is wonderful. Thanks for the hours spent with this club.
