Where the BIL is Located
Hi BIL Players! Ever wonder how to get around in the BIL? Where it is Located ?
There are three, yes three! Three locations on the internet for the BIL—each one with a specific purpose.
#1 The first BIL internet site is where you play on BBO—in the BIL! This is where we have our classes and play online with other BILies. We are one of many private clubs on BBO. When you have logged on BBO, you will find the Beginner Intermediate Lounge (BIL) at ‘private clubs.’ Click, come in, and join a table! Web Client Users – to kib a lesson click on Full tables.
- Please note. BBO software allows us to have BIL Team Matches in the Match area of BBO and BIL Special Event Tournaments in the Tournament area of BBO. Why? No point in replicating the BBO match and tournament software for each club or person who plays on BBO.
- If you’d like to create a team match among your BIL friends, go to Team Matches on BBO—not the BIL Club. If you’d like to join a Special Event Tournament hosted by the BIL, go to Tournaments on BBO—not the BIL Club.
#2 What is the BIL Bridge Library? The BIL Library is a separate internet site from the BBO site. It’s a truly vast and ever-expanding resource site for use only by our club members, teachers, and VIPs.
- To visit the Library, click www.bilbridge.com. You find the BIL Events Calendar, the News, BIL/BBO FAQs, Who’s Who, the Beginner Quizzes, our members list, lessons to download for study, photo albums of BILies meeting BILies, .lin file movies covering Watson’s Play of the Hand to infamous tournaments—so much more!
- At the top of the home page of the BIL Library, click a suit symbol — ♦ ♣ ♥ ♠ — and look at the drop-down menu to see what you will find! Go on an adventure! Explore!. All yellow text on pages is a link to more information – get clicking !
#3 The Alfresco Café! The Alfresco Café is the BIL’s forum, a message board/online discussion site just for our members. The Café is a separate website from BBO and also a separate website from the BIL Library.
- You may access the Café through the BIL Library. The link to the Café is in the drop-down menu of the spade symbol “About BIL” at the top of home page of the Library.
- Because the Café is yet another separate BIL website, it is necessary to become a member the Café to join the exciting discussions! Email your BBO ID and an 8-digit password to our Café Manager John Taylor at john.taylor.1@gmail.com.
If you have questions about BBO software or how to get around in the BIL, please email our time-generous and content-knowledgeable BILFriend1 Peter at BILFriend1@yahoo.com.
